Public Bath in Oslo

2015

The development of the bath started with the goal of responding to modern health challenges related to stress. The project aims to do this by architectural means rather than treatments associated with spas. This led to an exploration of how the phenomenological aspects of architecture could create different atmospheres affecting the visitors. The bath is an introverted journey where the visitor is led through a series of rooms focusing on contrasting experiencesrelated to light, temperature and spatiality.
Created in collaboration with Morten Hammersmark Olsen.
