2017
A group of students from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design where invited by the city muncipality of Oslo to explore how
the space recovered by removing parking lots from the city center could be used for new purposes. The city muncipality wanted us
to build an outdoor office space. The project focuses on lowering the threshold for use by expanding the program to include places
for more informal uses such as lunch, reading the newspaper, waiting for a friend or just cathing your breath. The project produces
it's own power through a solar power roof and also delivers free wi-fi to it's users.
Langbordet was awarded the DOGA prize for good architecture and design in November 2017. Read the jury description here.
